There’s something incredibly special about summer evenings at the backyard wildflower patch in Chesapeake, Virginia. The golden light, the soft breeze through the tall blooms, and the sounds of little feet running through the grass—it all creates a kind of magic that’s hard to describe but easy to feel.

Recently, I had the joy of photographing a beautiful mama and her two little girls at this dreamy location. Even in the extreme summer heat, these girls were full of energy, laughter, and so much curiosity. They danced, explored, and held onto their mama with all the love in their hearts. It was such a gift to witness their bond and capture it through my lens.

This session was more than just pretty pictures in the flowers—it was a celebration of motherhood. In the midst of chasing after her oldest girl this strong and loving mama also paused to breastfeed her baby right there in the wildflowers. That quiet moment—natural, powerful, and beautifully raw—reminded me of the strength and grace women carry every single day. It was a true honor to document a glimpse of her motherhood journey.
