Over the weekend I put out a model call and these two answered! We met up yesterday and I had the absolute joy of photographing the sweetest couple, and let me tell you, their session was pure perfection.
We met along Shore Drive in Virginia Beach, just as the sun began to dip behind the clouds. The skies were moody and soft, casting a dreamy glow over the sand. Despite the overcast weather, there was something truly special about the atmosphere. Between the gentle crashing of waves, the tracks in the sand, and the quiet beauty of the shoreline, the scene was set for something unforgettable.
This couple brought everything I could hope for to their session—laughter, genuine friendship, playful energy, and the kind of love that you don’t have to pose. They giggled through whispers, danced barefoot in the sand, and shared snuggles that melted right into the scenery. Every frame felt effortless and full of life. They were a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t need grand gestures to be captured—sometimes, it’s the softest moments that speak the loudest.
As we reached the end of our time together, I decided to introduce a little something different—direct flash. The result? A bold, warm, and dramatically romantic finish to an already heart-filled session. It added such a nostalgic yet editorial touch to their gallery, and it felt like the perfect way to wrap up an evening filled with connection and creativity.
Sessions like this are exactly why I love what I do. It’s not just about pretty photos (although, these two definitely delivered on that front!). It’s about telling your story—about capturing who you are, together, in this very moment.
