Last week, I had the honor of photographing one of my sweetest couples as they prepare for their wedding this November. Their engagement session at Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach could not have been more magical.
What made the evening so special was how nature itself played such a big role. Just the day before, a heavy storm swept through the area, leaving us all wondering what the beach might look like. But when we arrived, Sandbridge had the calmest and most peaceful feel to it. The sky was filled with dramatic clouds, the waves rolled with energy, and surfers even came out to enjoy the post-storm swell. It created the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos—romantic, moody, and full of beauty.
What I loved most about this engagement session was how true this couple stayed to themselves. They are simple, joyful, and kind—the kind of couple that makes you smile just being around them. Their love radiated naturally, and the beauty of Sandbridge only highlighted their connection. It was a reminder of why I love being a Virginia Beach engagement and wedding photographer—to capture authentic love stories in beautiful, natural settings.
I absolutely loved working with these two and am so grateful I had the chance to photograph this special season of their lives. I cannot wait to celebrate their wedding this November and continue telling their love story through photographs.
