A Surprise Engagement at Sandbridge | Virginia Beach Engagement Photographer

There’s just something magical about Sandbridge Beach in Virginia Beach — the way the sun dances on the waves, the peaceful sound of the ocean, and the endless stretch of sandy shoreline. It’s the perfect backdrop for love stories, and recently, I had the absolute honor of capturing one that melted my heart.

Earlier this week, I received a message from Davis who was planning a surprise engagement for his girlfriend, Gracie. From the very first conversation, I could hear how excited and head-over-heels in love he was. Davis wanted every detail to be perfect — from the location to the lighting, and most importantly, making sure that this unforgettable moment was beautifully captured.

When Davis dropped to one knee and Gracie said YES! — my camera clicked through happy tears. It was pure magic. The look on her face, the joy in his eyes… it was everything.

Once she said yes, Davis looked my way and gave the signal — a wave I’ll never forget — and we continued with the most joyful engagement session filled with laughter, sweet moments, and the kind of love you can’t help but smile at.

These two are just the sweetest couple! Every second of their session was filled with giggles, love, and excitement for the future they’re about to build together. And the photos? Oh my heart… I just love how they turned out!

As a wedding photographer with over a decade of experience, it’s weddings like these that remind me why I adore what I do.
