Maternity Portraits – ViBe Creative District – Virginia Beach

The beautiful part of my job is capturing every part of life. And maternity sessions are certainly one of my favorites. Watching two souls who love eachother so much start growing their family together. And these two lovely people made their session fun and beyond adorable.

Funny part was when I was waiting for them to meet me… This young lady was walking right towards me on a mission. For a moment I thought she was about to ask for directions. But that big smile appeared and she introduced herself. I was taken back! I had to do a double take because this Mama didn’t look like she was pregnant at all. I laughed and asked her to turn sideways. And when she did you could see that baby belly. We both laughed and made sure to show off that baby belly even more during her session!

She was truly one of the sweetest young ladies I have ever had the pleasure of capturing. I loved her smile, her energy, and just how much her Mama glow was pouring from her.

Kylin and Kevin’s Wedding – Dover Hall – Goochland Virginia

Another timeless wedding being pulled from the archives and shared with you all. Kylin and Kevin reached out to me on Instagram to help capture their story. During their planning of their wedding we all were at the height of covid. And these two amazing souls wanted to still celebrate with those they love and care about. I loved that no matter what they knew that love and family are everything. And what better way than to have your wedding at Dover Hall with close loved ones.

Everything about their day was perfect. The venue, the food, the style of their wedding, the fall colors, the laughter of the family, and even more so the atmosphere at every turn.

One of the things I loved the most about Kylin and Kevin’s special day is how they made sure to put themselves first by making time for a first look, family photos, and their wedding portraits, all before the ceremony even started. It was such a unique way of making sure they embraced their wedding and memories before all the excitement started.

Most of all I love how they made sure all who arrived were safe and taken care of. Especially during a time when the world had many sad things taking place. But above it all Kylin and Kevin made sure to show that no matter what LOVE overcomes everything.

Surprise Engagement – Sandbridge – Virginia Beach – Photographer

Frankie reached out to me about something he wanted to do for the love of his life Grace. A surprise engagement in Sandbridge. I loved everything about it! Frankie wanted to make sure that she did not have a clue about what was to happen. We chatted for a few weeks about every detail and even had a few back up plans in place. And everything was so smooth and perfect for these love birds. Grace was in shock, full of light, giggles, and so much joy she couldn’t hide it. So YES, as you can see she didn’t skip a beat and was quick to shout YES to Frankie.

Just look at these photos we captured of Grace and Frankie after SHE SAID YES! (side note: I love that Grace jumped to kiss Frankie and when she saw he had red on his lips too. She was quick to help remove it. It was the CUTEST most SWEETEST thing I ever saw. I just had to make sure I captured that moment too.)

Ashley and Jacob’s Wedding – King’s Grant Baptist Church – The Cove Venue – Virginia Beach

When Ashley reached out about her wedding day I was so excited to work with her. She was so sweet and wanted to make sure her wedding photos were fun, simple, and true to who they are. And of course how can a photographer say no to that? You just can’t!

I met up with Ashley and Jacob for their engagement session at Sandbridge over the summer. Their session started so perfectly! The sun was out, it was warm, and then out of nowhere we got hit with a summer thunderstorm. These two embraced the rain and danced their hearts out in it. So much so that they ended their session with a rainbow. No joke! A rainbow! Just take a look at their session (link here).

I knew that if these two souls could embrace a storm during their engagement photos… These two could take on anything life had to hand them. And during their wedding day they did just that. IT WAS PERFECT! Sweet little ceremony at King’s Grant Baptist Church. Followed by a simple and carefree reception at The Cove Venue in Virginia Beach. I loved seeing their family and friends were there to cheer them on as they celebrated with those they love.

I had so much fun with Ashley and Jacob! And I can not wait for their anniversary portraits this coming year.

Fun Studio Portraits – Virginia Beach – Photographer

When your daughter request a photoshoot at The Studio for fun… Well this photograper said yes. We spent some time playing around and capturing some cute photos. All while showing off her love of books, WWE, and laughing the whole time. Even made some Tiktoks and Instagram Reels while we were there.

These photos help show that anyone for any reason can have their photos done. All you need to do is show up, laugh, and enjoy just being you. It’s my job to help bring you to light in your photoshoot. Just as I did with my Daughter for her session.

April and Jonathan’s Wedding – THE Venue at Cahoon – Chesapeake Virginia

I had the pleasure of capturing April and Jonathan’s special day. Over the summer I met up with them to shoot their engagement session. They are two of the sweetest and cutest couples. Both laughing and enjoying life at every turn. I knew that if their wedding day was anything like their engagement session it was going to be an epic wedding.

Their wedding day was full of beautiful details, funny moments, amazing family members who kept everyone laughing and celebrating in the love of their children. I loved that they picked THE Venue at Cahoon. A perfect little spot that helped them celebrate all those beautiful moments of their wedding day together with those they cherish.

During this Mama’s family session thier little one started to get a little fussy. We decided in that moment to take a little break so Mama could feed her little beauty. And while the little one was filling up her belly. I had them all sit together and capture some moments, after all family sessions are about life and real moments. And in this moment their sweet little one said she was hungry.

Family sessions are fun to shoot but also a great reminder to take the lead of the kids and capture life of the family. And we did just that!

OH MY GOODNESS! I just had so much fun working with this little family. This was their first time having their family photos done. And all the cuteness was so adorable. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. And the sun was just perfect for this family with the light golden touch.

Vacation In Sandbridge – Family – Virginia Beach Photographer

I just loved when this family reached out to me about their family portraits on the beach. They were visiting and requested I meet them at their vacation home to work with them. I loved that they asked for that. As a Mom I fully understand needing to keep little ones close and still being able to capture memories as a family. Their session was perfect. Full of little boys and lots of giggles. As the sun started to set we got one of the most golden hours I had seen in a long time. Everything was bright and golden. It was so beautiful for them.

This was such a sweet family mini session. I just loved the style of colors Mom picked for her family. I loved being able to let the little ones run around and enjoy time with their family. It is rare I get to capture Grandma photos… Something I plan on doing more of very soon. I love that this sweet woman wanted to document her time in Virginia Beach with her grandson in a place he loves. They had the most adorable relastionship. Full of laughter, silly moments, and yes even some sweet ones too. The wind was so crazy! But we had the beach all to ourselves and it made for some more even perfect photos for the little Grandma and Me portraits session.

I can’t get over how adorable this session was! This Mama came to meet me for her mini session. I just loved how this little girl was full of smiles and loved the water. Sadly the waves were so big we weren’t able to get her close to the water for saftey reasons. But this Mama made up for it by letting her little girl place her toes in the sand and giggle away at the water. It was one of the cutest moments ever!

Family Maternity Portraits – Virginia Beach – Sandbridge

I just love when a family shows up ready to have an epic session together. The weather was wild and windy as can be. But we made the best of it with her dress and the families adorable personalities. Allowing this sweet family to be themselves, laugh, and play with their pup on the beach. All while capturing some dramatic photos.

I just loved these boys so much. They were sweet, kind, and their laughter was contagious. Mama was a dream with her bold blue dress and her beautiful belly. I loved how Dad was quick to bounce between his boys and his queen as they all laughed together. This was such a wonderful session! And I can’t wait to meet the newest addition for their mini family session soon.

I have no words for this sweet Mama and her maternity session. She was full of laughter, light, and a mommy glow you just couldn’t turn away from. I loved that she wanted to try anything for her session. And when I say anything… I mean anything. The wind was crazy during her session. So crazy the waves were at their roughest. But this Mama wanted to get under the pier and allow the waves to crash around her. And she did not dissapoint! She stood proud and took on each little wave until the biggest wave hit her. I can’t say enough about this brave Mama. Just look at her session!

When Ashley & Jacob showed up for their engagement session at Little Island Park in Sandbridge it was sunny and beautiful. As we got about five minutes into their session the clouds started to move in and rain started to pour. These two love birds had no problem completing their engagement session while kissing in the rain and chasing the clouds away. It was a unique adventure for sure. Ending with them laughing and seeing a rainbow too.
